Nicki Minaj is celebrating and displaying her newly toned body. She has covered April’s 2013 issue of Elle Magazine. Inside the magazine which will hit the stands
on 18th March, she talked about how she felt so vulnerable in front of
the cameras once she ditched the bold colors, patterned leggings and
crazy wigs, lashes and make up. She also talked about being bullied as a child and her plans to take
over the world, while continuing to remind the ladies to treat
themselves like a boss.
On her toned-down look
When I saw myself with barely any makeup at, it was such a… like, I’m
so, so attached to my pink lipstick, it’s hard. I feel that it’s become a
part of me. To go in front of the camera, without pink lips or big ol’
crazy lashes— you know, nothing— I felt naked. It was scary! So this
photoshoot was a real accomplishment in my eyes. On being bullied during her childhood
I went through a lot of bullying early on. Girls made my life a living
hell. We had come to America from a different country. My brother and I
had accents. It was very tough. So I’ve always put up this wall— it was a
self-defense mechanism growing up— because I was almost expecting
people to attack me. And I still have it. It’s sad. Her Advice to the Ladies to Gain Respect
My advice to women in general: Even if you’re doing a nine-to-five job,
treat yourself like a boss. Not arrogant, but be sure of what you want—
and don’t allow people to run anything for you without your knowledge.
You want everyone to know, Okay, I can’t play games with her. I have to
do right by this woman. That’s what it’s all about.
According toWilson Uwujaren, spokesman of the organization said the

Apparently, despite Rihanna’s popularity, her Vogue’a cover in 2012 was the worst selling… Maybe people are tired of seeing her on magazine covers and as such, she does not pull their pockets. Does this mean she would not get any more covers? HELL NO! Fashionistareports that;
Both starlets were newsstand duds, according to a report compiled by WWD using numbers from the publishers’ statements to the Alliance for Audited Media. Taylor Swift covered not one, not two, but a whopping five magazines in the past year, including Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle.
But despite the vote of confidence from magazine editors, Swift failed
to perform: Her issues sold either slightly above or slightly below
average, with the exception of Cosmopolitan, for which Swifty’s issue
was the magazine’s worst selling all year. Swift actually has a pretty
bad track record when it comes to selling magazines: In 2010, she was a
consistent worst-seller, and in 2011, when she only covered two mags
(Teen Vogue and InStyle), her performance was unremarkable. Rihanna’s Vogue November issue also tanked: It sold 227,000 copies–32
percent below the six-month average–making it the glossy’s second-worst
selling issue all year. Vogue’s Olympic issue, covered by Ryan Lochte,
Hope Solo and Serena Williams, has the dubious honor of being the
worst-selling issue. (Maybe Lochte won’t be so chummy with Anna Wintour from now on.) So who did perform? Lady Gaga sold the most issues (602,000 copies)
for Vogue, followed by Adele (410,343). Gaga has been newsstand gold for
the past two years.
