Pastor Okotie debunks remarriage rumours, blames ‘mischief makers’

The founder of the Household of God Church, Chris Okotie, has debunked rumours that he plans to remarry in December.
The controversial pastor, whose second marriage hit the rocks last June, due to “irreconcilable differences,” had been quoted in some media reports that he intends to remarry in December since “it’s not good for man to be alone.”
In a statement by Ladi Ayodeji of the church’s Media and Communications Department, Mr. Okotie, a former presidential candidate, described the remarriage claims as “baseless, totally false and ridiculous.”
“The public is hereby informed that Rev. Okotie never announced any plans to remarry this December or at any future date,” the statement said.
“He remains committed to his pledge not to speak on his marriage. Any story in this regard should therefore be seen as the handiwork of mischief makers.”
While announcing the dissolution of the four year glamorous, childless union to his congregation during a church service on August 12; a bitter Mr. Okotie likened his ex-wife to the biblical Jezebel renowned for her wickedness.
The Pastor announced the dissolution of his former marriage on August 12.
