Social media might just take another twist in the UK as the British
Court prosecution body (the crown prosecution service) has planned to set a new
rule and guidelines for usage of social media (facebook, twitter e.t.c) by the
end of this year.
In 2012, many high profile cases in the UK have seen people
being prosecuted for posting nasty contents on the internet. The new guideline
is expected to assist law enforcement agencies to prosecute offenders when
fully signed into law. You remember Azhar Ahmed? ... The man sentenced to 240 hours of community service for jokingly posting a message that
says…”all soldiers should die and go to
hell” as a response to 6 British Soldiers killed in Afghanistan.
Do you know what that
means? .....Be careful with what you post on social media especially when you’re
in the UK…….Ignorance might not just be an excuse!
