Stephen Keshi reconsidering his resignation?

Below is a press statement the Super Eagles coach released early this morning...
My attention has been drawn to reports in the media that I have resigned my appointment as the Head Coach of Super Eagles of Nigeria.
While I have had cause to express my displeasure over some issues that happened in the course of our participation in the AFCON 2013, which my team won by the grace of God, especially concerning my relationship with the Nigerian Football Federation, I have since had opportunity to discuss the various issues with all concerned. I am therefore pleased to say that I have reconsidered my position and have decided to continue with my job.
I want to thank the Honourable Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, for his swift and kind intervention.
Signed
Stephen Okechukwu Keshi

Long before the first ball was kicked in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations quarter final match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Elephants of Ivory Coast, many had written off the Eagles and given the tie to the Ivorians.
At the sports ministry and even the Nigeria Football Federation, there were lots of undercurrents that pointed to drastic measures that may have culminated in the sack of the Super Eagles technical crew, headed by Coach Stephen Keshi.
The degree of doubt in the team and the technical crew by officials reached a crescendo soon after.......

BREAKING NEWS: Egyptian referee Grisha Ghead who officiated NIGERIA-ZAMBIA match to be expelled from Afcon

Zambia vs Nigeria: Referee Grisha Ghead
Via Goal.com

Egyptian referee Grisha Ghead, who officiated the controversial second Group C match between defending champions Zambia and Nigeria on Friday, may be dismissed from the Africa Nations Cup by the Confederation of Africa Football (Caf) as a result of poor officiating, Goal.com has learnt.
Ghead gave Zambia a controversial penalty late in the game which ensured that the match ended 1-1. The Nigeria Football Federation lodged a complaint with Caf after the match.

Goal.com learnt that Caf president Issa Hayatou assured Nigeria’s minister of sport Bolaji Abdullahi that prompt action has been taken against the referee and that the official will be sent home.
Caf is yet to react officially.
The last Group C matches are now expected to generate great concern to Caf as they have prepared to monitor the two matches alongside the other groups to forestall a repeat of such scandalous mistakes and biases as alleged by the NFF.

Lance Armstrong Friend: "People Don't Have to Like Him," but He's "Done a Lot of Good"

Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong may only be making headlines at the moment for the variety of ways in which he disappointed his friends, teammates, fans and thousands of others who were inspired by his life story over the past 15 years.
But though it's lonely out on that confessional ledge across from Oprah Winfrey, the good Armstrong has done for cancer patients and survivors like him makes it hard for some to entirely dismiss him as a fraud who duped the world by doping throughout his history-making cycling career.
"I wasn't surprised at the admission," said Mike Thompson, a triathlete and four-time cancer survivor from Austin, Texas, who has known Armstrong

Beckham to officially hang his shoes

The man, the myth, the body! Um, we mean soccer player.

In a statement he indicated, I’ve had an incredibly special time playing for the LA Galaxy, however, I wanted to experience one last challenge before the end of my playing career.”He added, “I don’t see this as the end of my relationship with the league as my ambition is to be part of the ownership structure in the future."
